I implemented a new mechanic into the game, field objects that also have effects on the fighters, but only when their countdown reaches zero. some examples of this are bombs that explode, broken mechanisms that have to be fixed before they're usable and monster eggs that hatch new enemies.
the idea with the counters is strengthening a bit the arc of a battle. besides watching the hp of the fighters go down (for good and evil), the amount of buffs increase until a strike, the countdown of the counters adds another anticipation arc to the battle. I hope this can ensure an interesting mini climax inside a battle where a counter is present, so it isn't just a repetitive back and forth.
well that's it :) this is the last game mechanic to add, next I will work on advancing the game's structure and meta layer, so things will change considerably moving foward.
